What’s With The Name?
In European bicycle racing, a Service Course is a professional cycling team’s base of operations where equipment and vehicles are stored and maintained. These are places where all the heavy lifting occurs between races, where major repairs are undertaken to get bikes and equipment into race ready condition. From there they are loaded onto team trucks, cars and buses and driven to the particular events. Jeff’s history in the sport of cycling brought them together and spurred the name. The goal of Service Course Auto Works is to have your vehicle leave our workshop in race ready condition, whether you’ll be racing to work, to pick up the kids or racing to a fantastic weekend of cycling in the gaps, you can rest assured your car will get you there.Jeff Hopkins

How I got Started in the Automotive Industry
Fell into it in my 30’s. I’ve always been pretty good working with my hands and had been looking for a new career, had done some DIY work on my own cars, and then here we are.
My Hobbies Outside of the Shop
Cycling, home projects, Motogp, F1
A little about me
I grew up in Sydney, Australia, first came to US when I was 19 to pursue a career as a professional cyclist. I was a World Champion as an 18 year old, and was able to make cycling a career through most of my 20’s. I spent time living in Pennsylvania and Tennessee before settling in Georgia with my future wife. I managed a velodrome and did some cycling coaching after my racing career was finished, before embarking on a career in the automotive field. My wife and 2 sons live in Medlock neighborhood.

A little about me
I grew up in a small town North of Oklahoma City and attended Oklahoma State University pursuing an architecture degree. Met my future spouse though, and we moved to Atlanta in 1998 thinking “oh, we’ll just be there for 3-5years.” Of course we’ve found Atlanta to be a great home.
When not riding or working on bicycles I like spending time in my machine shop doing all sorts of projects or just hanging out with our two dogs and napping through an F1 session.

A little about me
I was born in England and lived on the island of Trinidad & Tobago as a child. After returning to England to finish school, I migrated to the U.S.A. and have lived on both coasts before settling in Atlanta. In my professional career I have worked as a project manager in various graphic design and advertising & marketing firms before returning to the automotive industry. It's my passion to share the knowledge I have developed in this industry to empower our customers to make the choices that are right for them. As a certified member of the too many projects club, I hope to have my 1970 Datsun 510 restored one day soon. Whenever possible I enjoy anything outdoors and try to get out to hike and camp.

How I got Started in the Automotive Industry
Since I can remember, cars and trucks have always been my passion. From a young age, my dad took me to car shows and swap meets. I always worked on our cars and projects at home in the garage with him. At age 15, I bought my first truck, a 1989 Ford Bronco, and started to learn how to fix it. While still in high school, I got my first job at a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep dealership. From there, a Ford dealership, a tire shop, Discount Tire, an Independent shop, My Favorite Automotive, and now here at Service Course Auto Works since October 2022.
My Hobbies Outside of the Shop
NASCAR, Kayaking, and Fabrication.

How I got Started in the Automotive Industry
I have been interested in automobiles since before the age of 2. As I grew older I wanted to gain more understanding of how an automobile works, how it is maintained, and how it is repaired. This led me to study automotive repair in college and from there a profession in the automotive maintenance and repair industry.
My Hobbies Outside of the Shop
I have an old project car, a 1983 Porsche 944, that I work on (as time permits) that also served as my first car and car I learned to drive a manual transmission on. One Saturday every month I volunteer with Trees Atlanta to help maintain the forest in the Atlanta area, primarily serving in a forest restoration role in Legacy Park. And when I have spare time from housework I will play video games, primarily driving games, with a dedicated simulation wheel, pedal, and shifter setup.
A little about me
I was born and raised in the Atlanta area, was homeschooled from 3rd grade to graduation, and then earned an Associate Degree in Automotive Technology from Chattahoochee Technical College. My first job out of college was at Firestone, where I worked for 6 years. Then I moved on to the independent repair shop Quantum Mechanics (later True Automotive) in September of 2020. Finally, I joined Service Course Auto Works in September 2023.
